FT NMR Spectrometer (400 MHz)

Jamia Hamdard has NMR instrumentation facility since the last three years. The service for NMR analysis is offered to both internal and external users comprising of researchers from educational institutes, universities, colleges, national laboratories and industries.

The following experiments can be carried out on this instrument:

1.     1D experiments :   1H NMR. 13C NMR, INEPT, NOE and DEPT.

2.     2D experiments :   COSY, NOESY, ROESY, TOCSY, HMBC, HMQC, HSQC and  INADEQUATE.

 Samples are invited from universities, colleges, national laboratories and industries for analysis on payment basis. The revised rates and other terms and conditions are as follows: 

Required amount of sample: 5-10 mg for 1H NMR

                                            30-40 mg for 13C NMR and 2D experiments.

Sample must be soluble in 0.5 -0.6 ml of deuterated solvent.

National Laboratories and Government Small Scale Industries will pay 3/5th of the charges. Educational Institutions/universities will pay 1/5th of the charges.  

Note: The analytical data/spectra are provided only for research/     development purposes. They cannot be used as certificates in legal disputes. 

Payments:

• Service charges are payable in advance by cash or crossed bank draft in favour of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi.

• Samples and payment should be sent preferably in the same cover. Samples are not analyzed until the payment is received.

• Please send the samples in quantity as mentioned above. Samples are not recovered, unless a special request is made.  .

• Unstable and explosive compounds are not accepted for analysis.

• Research fellows and students are advised to send their applications and samples through their Supervisor or Head of the department. The request should be on university/college/institute letter head.
