Faculty of Engineering and Interdisciplinary Sciences  

The Faculty of Engineering and Interdisciplinary Sciences (FEIS) came into existence in 2008. This faculty was established with an objective of promoting interface between engineering, physical sciences, life sciences, agriculture, forestry, medicine and allied disciplines including information technology, and to train the manpower to meet the national and global demand of trained personnel in interdisciplinary environment. Earlier known as the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, established in 2006 to facilitate and coordinate higher studies and research of an interdisciplinary nature, FEIS offers both postgraduate degree courses and Ph.D. in interdisciplinary areas with focus on biological and health sciences. Since 2008, following three departments have been established in the FEIS:

The courses offered by various departments of this faculty are aimed at integrating the domain knowledge from engineering, life sciences, information technology and allied disciplines to address the challenges of higher education in interdisciplinary areas. The courses introduced in various departments of the faculty cater to the growing demand of manpower in industry as well as academic and research institutions. 

The faculty also admits students for Ph.D program, and invites applications from the candidates interested in interdisciplinary research in identified areas.
