Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi

The Jamia Hamdard has purchased an instrument of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), and started functioning successfully. The service for scanning the spectra is offered to both internal and external users comprising of the researchers from educational institutes, universities, colleges, national laboratories and industries.

The instrument is Bruker 400 MHz, and is capable for scanning 1D (1H, 13C-NMR, DEPT, INEPT, NOE and SDDS), and 2D (1H-1H COSY, HMQC, HMBC, NOESY, ROESY, TOCSY, INADEQUATE, COLOC and HOHAHA) in high resolution of a good quality spectrum.

The samples are invited from universities, colleges, national laboratories and industries for scanning on payment basis. The rates and other terms and conditions are as follows:

Nature of compounds: Organic synthetic compounds, natural products, carcinogenic, radio active, or hygroscopic in nature.

Required amount of sample: 5-10 mg

Must be soluble in 0.5-1.0 ml of deuterated solvent.

* Rs. 500/-per hr. with minimum of Rs.500/-per sample for 1D spectrum (1H, 13C & other nuclei).

Rs. 1000/-per hr. or part thereof with a minimum of Rs 1000/-per spectrum for 2D spectroscopy and inverse experiments.

Rs. 100/- Extra charges for deuterated solvents other than CDCL3 and D2O.

* Charges given are for Private Industries

National Laboratories and Private Government Small Scale Industries will pay 3/5th of these charges. Educational Institutions/ universities will pay 1/5th of the charges.
