• Appointments will be made on contract basis for a period of two years, extendable upto a total period of five years. The appointment may also be considered on deputation terms

• The non-academic positions may be filled up on ad hoc basis.

• The number of vacancies indicated above may vary at the time of Selection Committee.

• The university reserves the right not to fill-up any of the vacancies if the circumstances so warrant and to call only short-listed candidates for test/ interview/seminars.

• The university reserves the right to consider name of suitable candidates who may not have applied

• Candidates called for interview will have to come to the place of interview at their own expenses and bring with them their original research papers, degrees and certificate etc. for verification.

• A person applying for more than one post should send a separate application for each post.

•             Applications complete in all respects should reach the Office of theRegistrar, Jamia Hamdard, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi – 110 062 by 28.02.2004 along with the following:

·        Bio-data (highlighting personal details, academic records, teaching and research experience, detail of published papers indicating the impact factor of the journal, fellowships & awards).

·        Two passport size photographs.

·         Attested copies of certificate & testimonials in support of qualification and experience and NET/GATE mark sheets, (for the posts of Lecturers only).

·        Persons already in job must apply through proper channel.

·        Crossed cheque/Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- for the posts of Professor,    Rs. 300/- for Reader and Rs.200/- for rest of the posts, drawn in favour of Jamia Hamdard payable at New Delhi.

• Incomplete applications and those received after the closing date will not be entertained.

•             In those disciplines where NET examination is not conducted, the university reserves the right to hold the written examination to assess the suitability of the candidates.

• The candidates already applied for the posts of Professor/Reader in Management Studies and Reader in Nursing need not to apply again.

• Reservation for persons with disabilities as per Government of India Rules is available.  Such candidates need not enclose the application fee.
