Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management	TOP

Duration: Full Time: Minimum two years. Part Time: Minimum three years. Eligibility MBA with 55% marks from any University/Institution recognized by the association of Indian Universities. Those who have Masters Degree in related disciplines may also be considered if they have done adequate courses in core subjects. Selection Procedure Admission to Ph.D. programme is made on the basis of a written Entrance Test and/or interview of the short-listed and eligible candidates. The syllabus of the test will be MBA syllabus of Jamia Hamdard. The University can admit only few a students to Ph.D. in Management Programme. Our University is having a Memorandum of Understanding with Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, IILM, Delhi, FIIB, Delhi under which a candidate can choose his/ her supervisor from among the faculty of MDI /IILM/FIIBand one of the faculties of Jamia Hamdard will be co-supervisor or vice-versa.


Master of Business Administration (MBA):-	TOP
Duration: two years Total Seats: 120 (Inclusive of seats are reserved for NRI and Industry sponsored candidates). Additional ten seats are available for foreign nationals. The MBA programme gives exposure to various functional areas of Management in the Ist year. The exposure is also given in quantitative techniques, application of computers in business environment and basic financial accounting inputs. It is mandatory on the part of students to undergo 8-10 weeks of practical training with a business organization of repute in India or abroad. In the IInd year, a student is required to choose one major and one minor area of specialization. He/She can select five electives from major area, three from minor area and one from the sectoral area. Eligibility: - A candidate seeking admission to MBA Programme must have a. Passed Bachelor’s degree examination in any discipline from a recognized institution. b. Appeared / will be appearing in MAT conducted by AIMA on May 02, in the respective year. Appeared in group-discussion (GD)/ interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard. Selection Procedure · The admission to MBA programme will be made on the basis of the merit determined by the score of MAT conducted by AIMA and the performance of the short-listed candidates in GD/interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard. Details of MAT are available on AIMA website (http://www.aima-ind.org). · All the candidates desirous of admission to MBA programme of Jamia Hamdard will also have to apply to Jamia Hamdard on its prescribed admission application form. When the MAT result is declared, the candidates will have to submit attested copy of their scorecard to Jamia Hamdard. They should clearly write the admission application form no./roll no. of Jamia Hamdard on the back of the scorecard. Those who have used downloaded form should write the roll no. Issued by Jamia Hamdard on the back of the scorecard. · Short-listed candidates will be called for GD/interview in Jamia Hamdard. Dates of GD/interview will be communicated to the short-listed candidates and will also be displayed on the university web site. Eligibility A candidate seeking admission to MBA Programme must have : Passed Bachelor’s degree examination in any discipline from a recognized institution. Appeared / will be appearing in MAT conducted by AIMA in February, May, September, December, in the respective year. Appeared in-group discussion (GD)/ interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard. Note: Candidates with MBBS/BDS/BUMS Degree and mid-career professional will be exempted from appearing in MAT. However, they will have to appear in GD and Interview. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science:-	TOP

Duration: Full Time: Minimum two years. Part Time: Minimum three years. Registration to Ph.D. programme in Computer Science is available on full-time as well as part-time basis. Eligibility = M.C.A. with at least 55% marks in aggregate. or = M.Sc. in Computer Science with at least 55% marks in aggregate. or = M. Tech. in Computer Science/Engineering with at least 55% marks in aggregate. Selection Procedure Admission to Ph.D. programme in Computer Science is made on the basis of a written Entrance Test and/or interview of the short-listed and eligible candidates conducted by the Faculty. The syllabus of the test/interview will be MCA syllabus of Jamia Hamdard. The University admits only few students to Ph.D. programme in Computer Science.

Master of Computer Applications ( MCA):-	TOP

Duration: Three Years Total Seats: 60 (Three seats are reserved for NRI and seven seats are reserved for Industry sponsored candidates). Ten additional seats are available for foreign students. Eligibility A candidate seeking admission to MCA Programme must have: = passed Bachelor’s degree examination in any discipline from a recognized institution with at least one paper of Mathematics at Senior Secondary (10+2) level. = appeared in the entrance test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. For admission against the foreign national/NRI/Industry sponsored seats, written test is not required. Selection procedure = The admission to M.C.A. programme, a written Entrance Test will be conducted followed by interview of short-listed candidates. The interview will be conducted by the Faculty. The Entrance Test Paper will be based on questions from subjects of BCA of Jamia Hamdard. The selection will be made on the basis of the merit determined by the marks obtained in the written test and interview. M. Sc. (Computer Science)	TOP
Duration : 2 years
Total Seats : 50 (inclusive of seats reserved for NRI and Industry Sponsored candidates Additional seats are available for Foreign Nationals.
Eligibility:- A candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. (Computer Science) programme must have: passed BCA/B.Sc.(Computer Science/IT/Maths)/B.Tech/BE/B.Sc.Engg. (any discipline) / PGDCA/PGDIT examination securing at least 50% marks from a recognized institution. appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. Selection Procedure The admission to M.Sc. (Computer Science) programme will be written Entrance Test will be conducted followed by interview of short-listed candidates. The interview will be conducted by the Faculty. The Entrance Test Paper will be based on questions from subjects of BCA of Jamia Hamdard. Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA/B.Sc. (IT)):-	TOP

Duration : Three years
Total Seats : 60 (Inclusive of seats reserved for NRI/Industry Sponsored candidates. Additional seats are available for foreign nationals.
Eligibility
a) passed senior secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks.
b) not more than 23 years of age on October 1, of the respective year.
c) appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard for the purpose.

For admission against NRI/Industry Sponsored seats, written test is not required.
Selection Procedure
The admission to the BCA/B.Sc.(Computer Science/IT) programme will be on the basis of the merit determined by the aggregate marks at 10+2 level.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) (Computer Science /IT):-	TOP

Duration : Four years
Total Seats : 30 (Inclusive of seats reserved for NRI/Industry Sponsored candidates. Additional seats are available for foreign nationals.
Eligibility
a) passed senior secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks.
b) not more than 23 years of age on October 1, of the respective year.
c) appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard for the purpose.

For admission against NRI/Industry Sponsored seats, written test is not required.
Selection Procedure
The admission to the B. Tech. (Computer Science/IT) programme will be on the basis of the written Entrance Test. The Entrance Test paper will be based on questions of senior secondary (10+2 level).

M. Tech. (Computer Science)
Total Seats: 18 (Inclusive of seats reserved for NRI/Industry Sponsored candidates) Nature: Regular and Full Time. Duration: Two Years (4 Semesters)
Eligibility: 60% or equivalent in B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Engineering/Information Technology/MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent.
Selection Procedure
The admission to the M. Tech. (Computer Science) programme will be on the basis of the National level written examination or any other norm prescribed by Jamia Hamdard. (Preference will be given to GATE).

Jamia Hamdard CISCO Local Network Academy

The department will provide free coaching to BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) students for CCNA and CCNP Certification Examinations thorough Jamia Hamdard CISCO Local Network Academy. This facility can also be availed by other students of the department by payment of very nominal fee in addition to their tuition fee.

Computer Science Activities Network

Department of Computer Science has started Computer Science Activities Network for all round development of students. The objectives of CSAN are :

· To organize Technical/Executive/H.R. meets

· To undertake Consultancy/Projects from industry

· To organize alumni meet once in a year

· To publish an in-house Magazine/Newsletter

· To undertake any other activities which is in interest of the Network members

The membership fee will be Rs. 2000/- (One time payment) for freshers and Rs. 1000/- for alumni
