The nature of competition in the industry puts a premium on research so there is a great demand for M. Pharm. and Ph.D. students in the research and drug development in pharmaceutical industry besides teaching positions in the discipline of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The department plans to start two new M. Pharm. Courses in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and establish a computer aided drug design laboratory.
