A significant number of foreign students are choosing Jamia Hamdard as their place of study. This number is increasing year by year. In most of the cases Jamia Hamdard is their first choice. The purpose of this page would be to provide a platform for interaction and information sharing.

With more than 150 foreign students hailing from 27 countries, Jamia Hamdard has truly acquired an international character. At present, the university has students from Nepal, Uganda, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Iran, Kyrghyzstan, Sudan, Yemen, Ghana, Maldives, Nepal, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Oman, Bhutan, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Canada and Tibet etc.

An International Students Hostel having 88 double seated rooms with all modern amenities is  constructed for the foreign students.  Free Health Care facilities are available for students of Jamia Hamdard in the Majeedia Hospital, a constituent unit of Jamia Hamdard. The International Students Advisor of the university looks after the needs of the foreign students studying in the university.

Admissions of foreign students is on the basis of marks in qualifying examination and there is no entrance test. The medium of instruction is English. Bridge courses in spoken and written English are also available. Prospectus and the application form can be downloaded from the website of the university. The admission for the foreign students is through Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
